Sony Pictures Entertainment
Phase I
Washington & Madison Boulevards, Culver City, CA 90323
The Georgetown Company prepared a master development plan for Sony Pictures Entertainment Culver City Studio Lot that integrated new office buildings and open spaces into the Lot’s traditional sound stages and production facilities. The master plan included significant green initiatives, including installation of solar roof top panels. Designed by Gensler and completed in 2008 for $103 million, the development included construction of the Harry Cohn and Jack Cohn buildings, a 1,000 car garage, 300 seat commissary and a fitness center. Both of the Cohn buildings are U.S. Green Building Council LEED Gold certified office buildings totaling 225,000 square feet.
