Paul Apollonio

Paul joined The Georgetown Company as Managing Director of Development in 2023. He is responsible for directing and executing the management of large-scale, complex real estate development projects across the company’s portfolio.  In his time at Georgetown, he has led the development of 707 11th Avenue, a ~185,000 RSF ground-up, purpose-built life science building located on Manhattan’s West Side including obtaining significant incentives from the New York Economic Development Corporation for the project and the entitlement process for 1565 N. Clybourn, a 396-unit multi-family project in Lincoln Park, Chicago.

Prior to joining Georgetown, Paul served as Managing Director of Chelsfield America where amongst other projects he led the firms’ efforts on the entitlement, landmarking and redevelopment of 550 Madison Avenue in New York, an 850,000 sq ft Class A office tower (first to achieve a LEED Platinum & WELL Gold certification in NY) including the creation of the largest new public garden in East Midtown for over 40 years and the creation of new Madison Avenue retail. Formerly, he was based in London where he was involved in a broad range of Chelsfield’s real estate investments across Europe.

Previously, Paul worked at 3i plc in the Buyouts business, and in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and Société Générale in both M&A and leveraged finance.  Paul holds a Post-Graduate Degree in Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
