On behalf of New York City’s Department of Education and the Robin Hood Foundation, the Georgetown Company, with architects Robert A.M. Stern and Gensler, developed two new high school buildings, at a cost of $225 million, to house three best-in-class charter high schools, Achievement First Brooklyn High School, Uncommon Charter High School and KIPP NYC College Prep Charter High School. Completed in 2013, these projects were developed more quickly and at lower cost than comparable SCA construction. The schools serve 2,600 students annually and have created a model for high schools of the future.
