International Center of Photography
1133 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10036
A Georgetown Company principal who was also a member of the International Center of Photography board and head of its real estate committee led the creation of the new $24 million state-of-the-art International Center of Photography museum and school. Completed in 2000 with architects Gwathmey Siegel & Associates, a “campus” for the institution was established at 43rd Street and 6th Avenue. The new development transformed an institution struggling to meet its operating budget to one with the finest photographic display and educational facility in the U.S., funded by a $16 million endowment.
