Dream Charter School
1991 Second Avenue, New York, NY 10029
The $55 million development project for Dream Charter School was led by a Georgetown Company principal who is a member of the Dream Charter School board and head of its real estate committee. Completed on behalf of the Harlem RBI and the Robin Hood Foundation, the project included a new 64,000 square foot elementary school building to house a best-in-class charter school and 20,000 square foot park immediately adjacent to the school. Designed by architect Perkins Eastman, the mixed-use development is located on the site of a former NYCHA parking lot and includes affordable housing apartments located above the school. Completed in 2015, the Dream Charter School serves 450 students annually in grades K-8.
